The growing fetus is also honored and welcomed. This initiates the process of health and well-being for both mother and baby.

~ Red Raspberry (Rubus idaeus): is a superior herb for pregnancy and childbirth used by native americans from puberty on to tone the uterus. One of the richest sources of iron, this combined with nettles helps enrich mother's iron levels. It also contains high units of niacin and manganese for connective tissue healthiness. Red Raspberry tones and strengthens the whole genitourinary tract system.

~ Yellowdock (Rumex crispus): is one of the best herbs for the digestive system, including the liver, and for anemia, accessing iron in the diet. It also works as a gentle laxative.

~ Oatstraw (Avena sativa): is known to be a wonderful, gentle, soothing nervine that relieves irritation and inflammation as well as depression and anxiety. Rich in silica, calcium, magnesium and chromium it is enriching and calming for mother's to be.

~ Nettles (Urtica spp.): is a virtual vitamin and mineral cabinet. It contains a host of vitamins and minerals, toning and enriching the whole system. Excellent as a reproductive tonic, it is strengthening to the entire system bringing energy and vitality. It is excellent for kidneys, liver and allergies as well.

~ Chamomile (Matricaria recutita): is a gentle,soothing nervine which aids in relieving anxiety, mental restlessness, irritability and digestion problems. It also possesses ant-inflammatory and pain relieving action thought to be due to its prostaglandin inhibiting action. Chamomile relieves spasms of the smooth muscle tissue. Further, it contains a high concentration of easily assimilable calcium.

~ Dandelion Leaf and Root (Taraxacum officinalis): is a food herb high in vitamins A and C, and minerals, especially iron, calcium and potassium. It tones and decongests the liver and gallbladder, stimulates digestion, reduces indigestion, constipation, gas and bloating and supports the kidneys by being an effective and safe diuretic which preserves potassium and inhibits the reabsorption of sodium. Dandelion contains phytoestrogens which help to normalize estrogen levels, decreasing estrogenic activity when negative estrogen is in excess. It balances and regulates hormonal production and relieves breast tenderness.

~ Ladies Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris): is specific for strengthening the uterus, kidneys, and veins. It also helps to settle the stomach.

~ Squawvine (Partridge Berry, mitchella repens): is beneficial for female reproductive weakness, nourishing and improving the neuromuscular and vascular tone of the uterus. It promotes easier childbirth.

~ Black Haw (Viburnum prunifolium): is an herb similar to Cramp Bark (Viburnum opulus). Both herbs are wonderful uterine nervines; quieting and relaxing the muscles of the uterus. It is invaluable for threatened miscarriage especially related to stress and uterine tension.

~ Ginger (Zingiber officinale): is a classic herb in both Chinese and Western herbalism. It is highly regarded for the reproduction and digestive systems. It improves circulation to the pelvis, is wonderful for morning sickness, cramps and motion sickness.

~ Ladys Mantle Flower Essence: embodies the qualities of grace, gentleness, and elegance with feminine strength and helps one accept the maternal roles of pregnancy and motherhood.

~ Mariposa Lily Flower Essence: facilitates the process of mother-child bonding.

~ Mimulus Flower Essence: quells the fear that can emerge from pregnancy and motherhood.

~ Rescue Remedy Flower Essence: brings inner calm and stability in times of stress, distress, trauma, and emergency.
