~ Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba): enhances circulation to the brain, improves memory function and mental performance, including short term memory, response time and concentration. It benefits mood, sociability and attention. Ginkgo enhances the uptake of seratonin, increases seratonin receptor sites and inhibits the effects of MAO (monoamine oxidase), all of which are important to anxiety and mood. It possesses antioxidant properties that absorb toxic chemicals, preventing cell damage due to oxidation.

~ Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica): is probably the most important rejuvenative herb in ayurvedic medicine. It is the major herb for revitalizing the brain and nerves. This herb is a cerebral stimulant and it increases oxygen supply to the brain, and it calms and feeds the brain cells, the adrenal system and nerves. Gotu Kola rejuvenates neural synapses, improves memory and concentration, reduces stress, nervous disorders and mental chatter, and increases energy, endurance, intelligence and longevity. It is often used for meditation.

~ Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera): is a balancing and strengthening tonic herb helpful for nervous exhaustion. It relieves agitation and stress, calms the mind and reduces memory loss. Ashwaganda improves cerebral function, aids mental clarity, and fosters a sense of well-being. It also facilitates the flow of consciousness in the body.

~ Hawthorne Leaf or Flower (Crateagus spp.): provides nourishment and support to the circulatory system, and benefits overall heart function, which supports and facilitates healthy brain functioning.

~ Kava Kava Root (Piper methysticum): promotes mental clarity while increasing relaxation. It decreases daily anxiety and stress, especially that related to dealing with others, and it increases feelings of well-being. Kava protects the brain from ischemic damage(lack of oxygen from impaired blood flow). It is helpful for attention deficit and hyperactivity.

~ Peppermint (Mentha piperita): increases oxygen in the body, improves circulation to the brain and enhances alertness.

~ Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis): is known as the herb of remembrance. It strengthens brain capillaries, tones and improves circulation to the brain, tones and soothes the nervous system, assisting psychological tension and depression. It also contains antioxidant properties.

~ Schizandra Berry (Schizandra chinensis): increases mental alertness and clarity, brain efficiency, work capacity, and builds stamina. It also normalizes the nervous system and decreases irritability and forgetfulness.

~ Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora): aids anxiety, agitation, excitability, nervous tension and exhaustion, and calms the mind. It increases one's ability to pay attention when there is difficulty in doing so. This herb also can help reduce the negative effects of noise, light and odors.

~ Wood Betony (Betonica officinalis): increases cerebral circulation, calms the stomach, assists with inner focus and groundedness, and it helps the individual to be present.

~ Lemon Essential Oil: stimulates the mind, increases concentration, memory and clarity, and is helpful for mental fatigue.

~ Peppermint Essential Oil: increases mental alertness and enhances the taste of the formula.

~ Dill Flower Essence: brings perspective to over-stimulation, especially when sensory congestion is overwhelming.
