~ Alfalfa Leaf (Medicago sativa): contains an impressively high nutritive profile, abundant in chlorophyll, 16-30% protein, carotene, vitamin C and bioflavinoids (four times that of citric juice), vitamin B complex, D, E, K, plus calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, sulfur, silicon, choline, cobalt, zinc, and a multitude of trace minerals. It also contains enzymes to help with digestion and nutrient absorption, regulate metabolism, relieve fatigue, and increase overall health, vitality and endurance. Alfalfa Leaf, nourishes and purifies the blood, neutralizes acids and toxins, assisting the liver and body cells in detoxification, enhancing pituitary function, strengthening blood vessels and reducing cholesterol.

~ Bee Pollen: contains power packed granules with a naturally balanced combination of vitamins, minerals, protein, carbohydrates, and enzymes including all the essential amino acids. One of nature's most nourishing foods, it is considered a super food, because it contains the extra nutrition our bodies need because of our depleted foods and our stress filled lives. Bee pollen is rejuvenating, improving endurance and vitality, increasing physical and mental capacity and stamina. It benefits both the large and small intestines and strengthens capillaries. Bee pollen is also helpful for childhood development.

~ Boneset Herb (Eupatorium perfoliatum): is a specific for deep aching pain in muscles, bones, fever and chills which accompany influenza. It offsets immune deficiencies, having been used with success in flu epidemics in the early 1900's. Boneset gets it's name from "Break Bone Fever", an old way of describing flu symptoms when the bones feel like they will break. Additionally, it assists in the healing of bruises and broken bones.

~ Celery Seed (Apium graveolens): is helpful in balancing the acidity in the body. It has been used to treat crippling arthritis with severe malformation. In cases where arthritic spurs were present, Celery Seed helped to dissolve them over a relatively short period of time. A natural source of organic sodium, this herb is necessary for toning the joints and the lining of the stomach.

~ Chamomile (Matricaria spp.): contains an easily assimilable form of calcium which makes it particularly useful for hypertension, painful joints, rashes, ulcers, cramps and spasms. It is invigorating and strengthening to the entire body. Chamomile is known as a soothing tonic for the nerves and acts as a sedative in the system.

~ Horsetail (Equisetum arvense): is helpful for dry skin and rashes, as well as weak and brittle nails. It contains a large amount of silica which helps to regulate mineral metabolism and hold calcium in the body. This supports the regeneration of connective tissue and is healing to the skin, nails and hair. Horsetail promotes the healing of bones and is an effective diuretic for aiding detoxification.

~ Kelp (Laminaria spp.): is considered the most completely mineralized food, providing a rich supply of nutrients, especially minerals, which are vital for health. It neutralizes waste in the body, breaks up firm masses including tumors, reduces edema and balances glandular function. Kelp enhances immune functioning and acts as a natural fungicide. Additionally, kelp can be helpful for arthritis, high blood pressure, blood clots, and anemia. It is soothing to the lungs and throat, helps relieve asthma and coughing, increasing the depth of breath. Kelp binds toxins in the gastrointestinal tract, preventing their reabsorption, reducing cholesterol levels. It accelerates the burning of excess calories by regulating the body's metabolism.

~ Marjoram (Marjoram hortensis): has been known to be useful for treating rheumatism and sprains. It relieves painful swellings and achy rheumatic joints as it stimulates circulation throughout the body.

~ Nettles: (Urtica dioica): have a high concentration of vitamins and minerals and a wealth of nutrients making this an excellent, all-round nutritive tonic herb. They are very high in protein and vitamins A, B's, C, K calcium, magnesium, chromium, phosphorus, potassium, iodine, iron, selenium, chlorophyll and acety-choline. Nettles nourish, alkalize, purify, and build the blood as well as control /prevent hemorrhaging. They also cleanse the digestive tract, removing protein wastes, regulate metabolism and aid in blood circulation.

~ Parsley (Petroselinium sativum): is high in chlorophyll content which makes it a natural breath sweetener. One of the main uses is for purifying the blood. It is a healing balm to the kidneys and urinary tract and is a mild diuretic. Parsley contains three times more Vitamin C, gram for gram, than citrus juices and has high contents of iron, calcium and potassium. It has been used as a cancer preventative, as well as for liver ailments. Parsley is a good tonic for blood vessels, has a uterine and prostate toning effect, and it can help heal conjunctivitis.

~ Red Clover (Trifolium pratense): is highly nutritious and contains vitamins, minerals, and isoflavones, which important to helping menopausal symptoms, lowering cholesterol and the risk of cancer. It contributes to improving overall heart health and increasing bone mass during menopause. Red clover contains polysaccharides that show anti-tumor activity. Traditionally, it has been used as a cancer preventative and for skin disorders. Additionally, Red Clover helps the system to discharge nitrogenous wastes and stimulates the liver, activates the gall bladder, treats gout and arthritis, keeps the blood naturally thin, calms nervous exhaustion, strengthens the system and increases vitality.

~ Red Raspberry (Rubus idaeus): is a highly nourishing tonic herb that strengthens and provides nutrients to the whole body. One of the riches sources of iron, Red Raspberry also contains manganese which is used by the body to form healthy connective tissue as well as bone and cartilage.

~ Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis): is known as the herb of remembrance. It strengthens brain capillaries, tones and improves circulation to the brain, tones and soothes the nervous system, assisting psychological tension and depression. It also contains antioxidant properties.

~ Savory (Satureja hortensis): has very similar properties to Marjoram and is beneficial for relieving sprains, painful swellings, and ache rheumatic joints.

~ Sheep Sorrel (Rumex acetosella): has high contents of oxalic acid and vitamin C and was used to prevent scurvy in the early days. It loosens, dissolves, and expels gravel from the kidneys as well.

~ Solomon's Seal (Polygonatum officinale): is an important herb for promoting the healing of broken bones.

~ Thyme (Thymus vulgaris): has both stimulant and relaxing properties and tends to regulate the system as needed. It is a good tissue cleaner and helps to heal wounds and bruises. It has a soothing sedative effect on nerves and relaxes spasms. Thyme helps to reduce swellings and is considered to be an important tonic with antiseptic qualities that promotes healing.

~ Vinegar: helps regulate the acid/base balance in the body and is an excellent tonic for the digestive tract. Vinegar is most useful for tonic food herbs that are used over a long period of time to build and strengthen the system. It effectively draws out plant vitamins and minerals and many other plant constituents. It is not effective in drawing out plant acids as it is acidic in itself.

~ Lemon Juice and Rind (Citrus Limon): are high in vitamin C, bioflavonoids, potassium and calcium. They possess anti-oxidant activity, and destroy putrefication bacteria in the mouth and intestines, thus purifying the breath. Lemon juice and rind are antiseptic, antifungal and antimicrobial. They stimulate the liver and gall bladder, releasing toxins and encouraging the formation of bile. Lemon juice and rind move stagnant liver qi, move and regulate the spleen and pancreas, aid digestion, and improve mineral absorption. Further, lemon alleviates intestinal gas, bloating and pain, dispels flatulence, and promotes peristalsis. Lemon is especially helpful when eating a high fat and high protein diet. Lemon juice and rind also strengthen blood vessel walls and cleanse the blood, treating thick and poor circulating blood. The pectin in the rind helps to lower negative blood cholesterol and helps resolve mucus while increasing fluid production in the body. Lemon is calming to the nerves as well.
